Summer Stars in Autumn Colours

Nasturtiums (Tropaeolum sp.) are one of my favorite summer flowers.

This year I sowed (to me) a new variety called 'Alaska Salmon'. It's a miniature nasturtium with marble leaves. Very pretty... I think...

That colour of flowers gave me an idea to use these colours in a summer star blocks.
Have you already visited at Temecula Quilt Co and sewed your own Summer Stars? The stars are 'miniature' size - 4"x4" finished. There is five new star block patterns coming on next five Fridays... so you still have plenty of time to come and sew along ;o)

And have you heard, that Bronvyn from Red Brolly is offering this gorgeous Wish Quilt pattern as a free download here.

I started my version, when it was released in Australian Homespun 2008. (OMG, was it 2008? Where have all those years gone????)

Then I stitched few blocks... for example that cute cat with present stitchery...

Finally I would like to make one more advertisement...
If you pop up here, you'll see and hear something about my hometown Kotka and it's beautiful parks ;o)

Have a lovely summery week!!!

I like your summer stars, but I will prefer watching you create them instead of sewing them myself. I saw the Bronwyn Hayes Freebie and of course I had to safe it to my computer right away, she makes such nice projects. Your new flower variety is a beauty! Enjoy the summer time!
